Wellness treatments

We offer wellness treatments in various forms, including dental treatment and PEMF treatment.

Dental treatments are done in our small dog grooming salon where we accept both daycare and hotel dogs as well as other dogs. Entrance from the daycare entrance. Wait outside until staff comes and invites you in.

Appointments are available to book both during the day and in the evening on weekdays and sometimes during the day and in the evening on certain weekends. Please contact us well in advance so that we can find a free time that suits you.

You can book dental treatments directly here on the website under the "Book Online" menu. For other treatments, you need to contact us to book an appointment.

Dental treatment with ultrasound

Our Certified Dental Therapists perform dental treatments with ultrasound. It is a gentle treatment with a toothbrush-like device that emits ultrasound that reduces plaque, tartar and inflammation in the gums.
The result varies from dog to dog, as it depends on the dog's microbiome in the mouth, the amount of tartar and what the dog eats. In general, you often see a noticeable improvement.

The ultrasound together with a special toothpaste that creates nanobubbles gets into the small corners of the mouth and loosens tartar and plaque. If necessary, the treatment is completed with a dental scaler on tartar that has been loosened by the ultrasound. Then it is usually easy to just lift the tartar a little and it will come off in flakes.
No anesthesia or sedation is needed, the dog is awake the whole time. Therefore, it is ideal for dogs that for various reasons cannot be put under anesthesia often, e.g. with heart problems or old age.

There are two different treatments: intensive treatment at about 30-45 minutes and maintenance treatment at about 10-15 minutes.
Most dogs need to start with one or more intensive treatments, but can later switch to maintenance treatments.
How often you need to do a dental treatment is individual. Some dogs can do with two intensive treatments per year while others require intensive treatment or maintenance treatment every two to three months.

All dogs we do dental treatments on must be able to be handled in the mouth by the staff without biting or becoming extremely stressed.
If we discover major dental problems, such as loose teeth, pain, tooth decay or broken teeth, we always recommend a veterinarian for a full examination and x-ray.

During the treatment, we recommend that the owner wait in another room, or go on errands so that the dog does not feel stressed and want to go to the owner because it hears that they are there. Dogs can often become more anxious if the owner is in the room, but if the dog suffers from separation anxiety, it is of course okay for the owner to be there.

Below you can see examples of before and after treatment.
